Grant Writing and Charter Development EdTec can help charter schools write State and private philanthropy grants. Among the staff at EdTec, more than $15 million has been raised through fundraising. Over the last three Public Charter School Grant Program cycles, the 20 clients that EdTec worked with won grants totaling $8.25 million. EdTec will also work with charter groups which are in the early stages of charter development. EdTec can help the charter organizers write the charter and negotiate terms with the sponsoring district as well as apply for appropriate start-up grants from State and Federal sources. EdTec recently helped educational entrepreneurs develop and pass charters in districts across California, including Los Angeles USD, Oakland USD, and East Side Union School District.
